This story is based off a dream I had.

“All right, class, take out your homework!” Mrs. Leonard pronounced loudly.  
“Did you do it?” I asked Emi as I took my paper out of a shiny folder.
“Yep!  For once!” Emi said, smiling.  She pulled hers out.  We compared our math problems.  I squinted.  Next to hers, my handwriting looked like chicken scratch.
“Man, how do you do that?” I wondered aloud.
“Do what?”
“Pass them to the front!” Mrs. Leonard exclaimed.  Since Emi and I were sitting at the desk in the front of the room, we simply offered them to
Kakashi vs. Gai: Karaoke“Sake for two, please,” Kakashi said to the bartender.
“Make it three!” a voice interrupted.  I looked up.  Gai was standing behind me.
“Why now?” I asked, before he could say the inevitable.
“Oh, sweet, sweet, Enju, will you go out with me?” Gai asked me, with a wide smile on his face, holding one thumb up.
“No,” I said without turning around, “For the twelfth time, I’m taken.”
“Your drinks,” the bartender said, and handed each of us one.
“But why not?  I can surely protect you better than Kakashi can!” Gai proteste
